Great Grandfather Shares Love Of War History With Great Grandson

PORTLAND, Ore.–  Robert is 96 his Great Grandson Max is 10.  The World War II Veteran served under General George Patton and was part of the D Day invasion of Normandy, France.  Robert lives in Maryland, Max here in Portland.  The pair began talking about the war on the phone and translated those conversations to extended talks in person .

Max has been all ears loving the detail his Great Grandfather shares.  Robert came to Portland  Over Thanksgiving.   The two of them constantly had their heads together looking at an Atlas that mapped out the details of the war.  Robert hopes Max will consider going to West Point like he did.  Max loves that idea for a number of reasons including the swim team.
